  • Since 2004, the county pharmacy in the Tulsa County Social Services building has filled over 500,000 prescriptions with donated medications, saving about $32 million and serving roughly 100 residents daily. Director Savannah Crandall said help is available for those earning under $40,000 (after income verification).  2 News
  • Residents in Broken Arrow met at the Property Event Center to oppose a proposed Islamic center near Olive Ave and Creek Turnpike, focusing on practical issues like traffic, floodplains, and parking (the project calls for 750 parking spots) ahead of a Jan. 12 city council discussion.  KTUL

  • Drivers in Jenks must expect temporary road closures today as crews restripe the intersection of Elm Street and B Street to improve safety at the new Fire Station 1; the street will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and buses have alternate routes.  KTUL
  • Tulsa Parks Department is asking residents to join its new Parks Watch program by reporting suspicious activity to City Security (918-596-9100) as graffiti and wire theft have damaged several parks. Repairs cost up to $180,000, including work at Mohawk, Patrick and Savage Parks.  News On 6
