- ➤ Residents at Vesta Realty properties in Tulsa have seen trash overflow since before Christmas, and although crews now collect trash in phases daily, some remain frustrated as services lag behind promises (Vesta CEO Marc Kulick and Councilor Anthony Archie confirm daily pickup) with plans from American Waste (involved in cleanup). 2 News

- ➤ Broken Arrow Public Schools informed families that Vanguard Academy, its specialized STEM program, will have major changes next school year (no freshmen and a new bell schedule matching the main high school). - ➤ A bridge project on Highway 75 near Jenks is on hold because officials found an eagle's nest near Polecat Bridge. ODOT is working with U.S. Fish and Wildlife service for a resolution + Tulsa City Councilor Phil Lakin said further study is ongoing while all lanes remain open. FOX 23
- ➤ The Tulsa District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will conduct a controlled burn near Broken Bow Lake Dam on Monday, Jan. 12 to clear dry vegetation & restore natural habitat. Residents may notice smoke and are advised to use caution when traveling nearby. KTUL
