  • Tulsa City-County Library is honoring Dolly Parton’s 80th birthday with storytime events today and tomorrow at several branches, and a birthday celebration at Gathering Place on Jan. 17 with live music, free snacks (and face painting).   • A local group plans to open a virtual Jewish charter school in Tulsa to test if religious public schools meet constitutional rules + the proposal revives a long-standing debate, and more details are expected soon.  FOX 23

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Blue Envelope program is now offered by Tulsa Police Department and nearby agencies to help individuals with communication barriers provide IDs during stops. The initiative is designed for people with conditions such as PTSD, autism, anxiety, or dementia.  2 News
  • After Monday night's vote by the Broken Arrow City Council to deny its zoning request for a new mosque, the Islamic Society of Tulsa said it was weighing its options — a decision that local community members await with interest.  FOX 23

HEALTH NEWS

  • Doctors in residency at OU-Tulsa cooked seven recipes Tuesday that cost a dollar or less per serving under the DUO program by Hunger Free Oklahoma. They showed how SNAP recipients can use matched funds at participating stores to buy fresh fruits and vegetables.  News On 6
