- ➤ NewsChannel 8 and the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma are hosting a food drive from Feb. 9 through March 13 that will help feed local children, seniors, and families across Green Country. Donations will provide nutritious meals for neighbors in need. KTUL
- ➤ Woodland Hills Mall is hosting a Valentine-themed pet adoption event Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Center Court as it teams with the Humane Society of Tulsa and Animal Rescue Foundation to help families adopt pets (adoption fees apply and treats are available). KTUL

- ➤ Sinclair will move FOX programming in Tulsa from KOKI FOX23 to KTUL 8.2 starting Feb. 9 with a simulcast until March 1; viewers using antennas must rescan their TVs as KTUL becomes the permanent home on March 2. FOX 23

- ➤ The Philbrook Museum previewed three upcoming exhibits in a video for FOX23 and will soon reveal the shows in Tulsa. Local art lovers can look forward to fresh displays in the coming weeks. FOX 23

- ➤ Tulsa Public Schools placed Hale High, Hale Middle and MacArthur Elementary on secure status Tuesday morning after anonymous calls warned of a potential threat; campus police and the Tulsa Police Department made sure students stayed indoors as usual. KTUL
- ➤ Jenks Public Schools voters will decide on a 20.3 million bond package on Feb. 10 that funds safety upgrades, technology, transportation and facility improvements including renovations at Frank Herald Fieldhouse and the Freshman Academy. - ➤ Crews at Tulsa International Airport lifted the final piece of the new Senator James M. Inhofe Air Traffic Control Tower today. The 257ft tower will enhance safety and operations for more than 330,000 annual flights as crews continue welding through the day. KTUL
- ➤ Food banks and advocacy groups are urging the federal government to extend the Sept. 30 deadline for reducing SNAP error rates below 6% to avoid a $250M annual penalty starting Oct. 2027, as Oklahoma officials work on retraining staff (and improving data systems) to keep benefits on track. - ➤ Tulsa International Airport celebrated a major construction milestone on Friday, Feb. 6 as crews lifted the first section of its new air traffic control tower cab into place (a key step in the airport's upgrade). FOX 23
- ➤ Drivers at 120th and Elm Street must use Forest Place (from 121st Street) to access West 120th during a temporary closure starting Monday, Feb. 9 as part of the Elm Street Widening Project. Officials expect the closure to last about one week. KTUL
