  • On Feb. 11, researchers and residents debated whether a century-old stone monument — featuring names of known Ku Klux Klan members — should remain in Tulsa’s oldest park as discussions continue on its place in public memory.  FOX 23

  • With other scooter companies leaving, Lime announced a limited-time promo offering three free five-minute rides until March 6. Riders can find details in the Lime app and on signs around Tulsa — a move to reduce traffic and support local businesses.  KTUL
  • Saks Fifth Avenue will close its Utica Square store in Tulsa later this year as part of a restructuring effort, with Saks Global announcing similar closures nationwide & aiming to refine its luxury brands for future growth.  KTUL

  • Musical artist Grady Nichols will hold a Valentine's Day concert this weekend at Tulsa Club Hotel, where his band & Mike Wilson will perform live. The event starts at 7 p.m. and offers a complimentary champagne glass, dinner, dancing, dessert, and a cash bar to benefit Palmer Addiction Recovery Services.  FOX 23

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Green Country educators LeeAnn Pressler from Central Middle School in Bartlesville and Liz Reed from the Owasso 8th Grade Center are finalists for Oklahoma Teacher of the Year. (Reed was named Owasso Public Schools Teacher of the Year in 2025) The award will be announced in June.  2 News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Oklahoma is the first state to join A Home for Every Child, a national initiative to boost foster homes and lessen children entering the system. Governor Kevin Stitt said the state (cut foster care by 3,500) will partner with federal agencies to move toward a 1:1 foster home-to-child ratio.  2 News
  • Tulsa International Airport is investigating a ransomware attack that did not disrupt daily operations (cybersecurity teams quickly contacted law enforcement) after detecting unusual activity.  2 News

  • Tulsa entrepreneur Ebony Jones helps moms heal after birth by turning placentas into capsules, balms, and art (a natural postpartum remedy) that some, like Chanyce Mayes and Jasmine Frost, use to feel more in control while experts say benefits remain unproven.  FOX 23
