  • The Islamic Society of Tulsa hosted a public open house Sunday at its mosque near 51st Street and Yale Avenue, inviting community members to tour the prayer space, view art displays, and learn about Islamic traditions following a nearby mosque proposal rejection.  2 News
  • Clients at A New Leaf turned Valentine's Day into a learning opportunity by prepping roses and delivering them to community members. The program helped participants build job skills and independence using floral work as a way to connect with neighbors.  News On 6
  • Case Family Safety Center unveiled its new, nearly 10 times larger building near 31st St. and Sheridan Road on Sunday. The expanded facility, which includes interview rooms, a kids center, and a wellness center (commemorating its 20th anniversary), is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.  FOX 23

  • Valentine’s Day boosted local sales in Broken Arrow’s Rose District as busy shops welcomed couples and last-minute shoppers, and small business owners are watching a proposed minimum wage increase set for a June ballot that could affect job numbers.  FOX 23

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Pathways Adult Learning Center, part of Kirk of the Hills church, is moving after 17 years to a new facility with construction beginning on February 11. It will take eight months and allow the center to serve more students and families with improved accessibility.  2 News

HEALTH NEWS

  • Saint Francis Health System assumed operations of the Bristow hospital facility on Feb. 15. The facility at 700 W. 7th Ave will serve as a 24/7 urgent care center (until licensing restores full emergency services) after the plan was announced last November.  2 News
