  • Cherokee Nation will host a spring Lunch and Learn lecture series at NSU Jazz Lab to share Cherokee history and culture later this season. The National Weather Service in Tulsa has issued a Fire Weather Watch for Thursday, Feb. 19, advising residents of very dry, windy conditions.  FOX 23
  • Tulsa residents honor the late Rev. Jesse Jackson, who left a lasting mark on the community with visits that brought hope during key historical moments including the Tulsa Race Massacre centennial. He died Tuesday at 84, and local leaders share memories of his bridge-building work (a timeless call for unity).  2 News

  • IKEA announced plans to open its first Oklahoma store in Tulsa in 2026, expanding its U.S. presence. The retailer said its move is part of broader investments to make furniture more affordable + accessible.  KTUL
  • A Jenks woman said she hired All My Sons Moving & Storage to move her mother’s belongings to Washington, but when items arrived on Feb. 3 many were damaged, costing nearly 25,000 dollars in value. A 500 dollars reimbursement was offered while complaints have been filed with the BBB and Attorney General’s Office.  News On 6
  • Residents in Claremore voiced concerns about the proposed Project Mustang data center during Tuesday's meeting at Rogers State University, citing potential issues such as water usage, noise and property impacts. Beale Infrastructure said the project could add jobs and boost the tax base if it begins this summer.  FOX 23

  • Glenpool begins a $1.88 million sidewalk and beautification project along 141st Street today to improve pedestrian safety and connectivity.  FOX 23

HEALTH NEWS

  • Glenpool officers responded to a call on Feb. 12 in the Glenpine neighborhood, administering Narcan to a woman with a suspected opioid overdose; she is now recovering as EMS provided follow-up care.  KTUL

SPORTS NEWS

  • The Tulsa Oilers Junior Hockey Club continues its season in the NA3HL by developing players aged 16 to 20 from Tulsa and beyond as they prepare for college or minor league play. Local Broken Arrow grad Chase Boswell said he values the team’s community focus — keeping young talent close to home.  2 News
