- ➤ CASA of Northeast Oklahoma launches its (26 in 2026) volunteer campaign to recruit 26 new advocates and raise $13,000 to support children in foster care in six counties; training begins early March. News On 6
- ➤ Food On The Move volunteers assembled 300 grocery bags on Monday to give roughly 300 families balanced meals with added protein, dairy and produce ahead of the Food and Resource Festival held Tuesday at its northwest hub at 19 S 49th W Ave + community input drove the program expansion. - ➤ A Tulsa couple staying in Cozumel said conditions appear normal despite unrest in other parts of Mexico (their flight home was canceled on Saturday and they worry that misinformation could hurt tourism). News On 6
- ➤ Downtown Tulsa Partnership held its first quarterly public safety forum Tuesday in downtown Tulsa, marking the beginning of a series designed to address local safety concerns. FOX 23
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ On Tuesday morning, the Oklahoma Senate announced a plan to fund $254 million in education initiatives by capping extra deposits to the Teachers' Retirement System at $200 million. The proposal includes a $2,500 pay raise for teachers and increased funding for literacy programs without new spending. KTUL
- ➤ Legacy Childhood Education in Broken Arrow will hold an urgent meeting tonight for families to discuss state child care funding cuts expected in April and July. Providers statewide have already seen over 400 programs close and are considering cost-cutting measures to keep services running & urging families to contact lawmakers. FOX 23

- ➤ Fire crews in Broken Arrow and nearby counties are preparing for high wildfire danger as burn bans are in effect amid strong winds and dry conditions. Officials advise residents to remove dry brush and flammable items from around their homes (which can spark fast-growing fires) to keep the community safe. 2 News

- ➤ Oklahoma officials will hold a wildfire preparedness briefing today at 11:30 a.m. to discuss emergency measures after wildfires burned more than 180,000 acres last week — Gov. Stitt signed an executive order easing transportation rules for feed and water delivery. 2 News

- ➤ Saint Francis Health System will soon launch Saint Francis at Home, a program offering hospital-grade care at home for eligible patients in Tulsa (this includes daily physician visits and 24/7 virtual RN access).
