- ➤ Emirates Global Aluminum and Century Aluminum signed an agreement to build an aluminum plant near the proposed $4 billion smelter in Inola; the facility will produce products for electrical, defense, aerospace, automotive, and machinery industries and is set to begin construction by the end of the year. - ➤ Lawmakers approved a resolution to name a proposed turnpike after late country star Toby Keith. The bill (House Concurrent Resolution 1019) directs the road from I-44 east to I-35 and I-40 as part of the ACCESS Oklahoma Long-Range Plan and will next move to the Senate. News On 6
- ➤ The House Common Education Committee has moved several bills to the House. One bill would limit screen time for young students to one hour a day, and another will move state testing to May while a third expands leave for education employees—now all under review by the House Education Oversight Committee. 2 News
