  • A local group with community volunteers & students is planting 200 fruit trees in north Tulsa’s Hawthorne neighborhood to ease food insecurity. The project will begin this spring, receive a $45,000 grant, and offer job training for high schoolers.  KTUL
  • At the Mayo Hotel, hundreds gathered Thursday evening for the Healing Hearts Gala to support the Tristesse Grief Center’s counseling programs. The nonprofit (founded when Laura Gonsalves lost her daughter Tess to cancer) held the event to honor Tess’s legacy and raise funds for grief services in Tulsa.  News On 6
  • Today, the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma donated (2,439 lbs) of shelf-stable food at Tulsa International Airport to support TSA workers affected by the government shutdown, and Airports Improvement Trust organized a meal train for catered lunches during shifts.  KTUL
