  • Oklahoma filmmaker Marcus Mallard will receive the Trailblazer Award for his contributions to independent film at the Bare Bones Film Festival's closing ceremony on Sunday, March 29 at the historic Roxy Theater in Muskogee.  News On 6

  • 2 News Oklahoma now offers a tool (available on its website and app) that lets residents track rising gas prices; the feature is live across Green Country today.  2 News
  • Green Country farmers face rising urea fertilizer costs as supply disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz, driven by the war in Iran, boost prices nearly $150 per ton. Farmers like Tommy Salisbury, who farms 3,200 acres, say these higher costs will challenge their spring planting plans.  2 News

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Tulsa Public Schools is now enrolling elementary students for its free summer learning program. The program runs Monday through Thursday, July 6–July 30 at five school sites and provides meals, transportation, and enrichment activities through community partners with space limited and registration on a first-come basis.  FOX 23

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Broken Arrow Police Department will send its mounted patrol unit down the turnpike to assist with security and crowd control during the 2028 games in Oklahoma City. The department is training—enhancing safety and efficiency—and helping other agencies prepare for the event.  FOX 23
  • Broken Arrow Police Chief Lance Arnold said his department is boosting community outreach as it prepares to secure the 2028 Olympics.  FOX 23

HEALTH NEWS

  • The Brain Injury Recovery Foundation is asking businesses and residents to light up green from March 21 to March 28 for Brain Injury Awareness Month in its Lights On Tulsa event. It also opened DEFY NeuroRehab (offering intensive therapy) to help rebuild strength and independence.  FOX 23
  • A free trauma-informed camp is set up in Beggs to help children who were affected by a recent tornado that forced school closures and left families recovering. The event will take place today at a community center to provide emotional support.  FOX 23
