- ➤ After the recent Mannford wildfires, ORU's men's soccer team helped local resident Michael Cavenah move belongings from his damaged shed into a storage unit—teaming with international players to support families in need. The Red Cross and other aid groups continue to assist as victims rebuild their homes. KTUL
- ➤ A donation drive organized by Mercy for Mannford will be held on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at WOMPA in Tulsa to help families in Mannford, Terlton, and nearby areas rebuild after the wildfires—volunteers are encouraged to bring essential items such as clothing, hygiene supplies, and electronics. - ➤ Pawnee County first responders have battled wildfires for nine days and are still mopping up hot spots, leaving crews exhausted and in need of community help. Officials are asking for equipment—such as leaf blowers and chainsaws—and additional volunteers as they work with FEMA to assess damage. FOX 23

- ➤ Oklahoma executed death row inmate Wendell Grissom on March 20 at 10:13 a.m. for the 2005 murder of Amber Matthews during a home invasion in Blaine County—his clemency appeal had been denied after nearly 17 years on death row. News On 6
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Attorney Damario Solomon-Simmons and the Muscogee Creek Indian Freedmen Band filed a motion to intervene in the lawsuit between the Muscogee (Creek) Nation and Tulsa, arguing that Creek Freedmen must be included in any ruling because the Treaty of 1866 guarantees them equal rights. Governor Kevin Stitt also filed a motion to defend the state’s authority over Tulsa in the case. KTUL
