  • Tulsa Farmer's Market launched its high-growing season on April 5th — even with rainy weather — with vendors selling local produce, fresh flowers, and baked goods. The market partnered with Tulsa City-County Seed Library to support local farmers and small businesses and will operate every Saturday through September.  News On 6
  • Today, Tulsa hosted its 4th annual Honor Steak and Poker Night—raising funds to help the wives of two fallen firefighters attend their husbands’ memorials.  FOX 23

CRIME NEWS

  • Gary Hermesch of Tulsa was charged Friday with first-degree murder for fatally shooting Catholic priest Arul Carasala outside a church rectory in Seneca—authorities said the act was premeditated.  FOX 23

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Tomorrow, ODOT will begin replacing the northbound SH-66 steel truss bridge over Bird Creek near Catoosa by shifting traffic to one lane each way on the southbound bridge—this $7 million project awarded to OBC Inc. of Edmond in December 2024 is expected to finish in early 2026, weather permitting.  News On 6

  • At the NCAA Seattle Regional Final on April 5th, Faith Torrez scored a perfect 10 on beam to help the Sooners win 198.025 over Auburn, Illinois, and Nebraska—she also earned a career-high all-around score and tied the bars title with her teammates as the team prepares for finals today at 7 p.m. on ESPN streaming service.  News On 6
