  • Transformation Church Tulsa hosted its annual Easter Eggstravaganza at Guthrie Green in downtown Tulsa this past weekend (featuring an egg hunt, egg toss, food trucks, games, and giveaways) as part of a larger Easter weekend that included online and live worship services.  FOX 23
  • Today, Shining Honor volunteers worked at Rose Hill cemetery to clean veterans' headstones in a ceremony honoring service members. The nonprofit, operating for nine years with six groups statewide, teamed with *A New Leaf* volunteers to strengthen community ties and preserve memorials.  KTUL
  • A Tulsa man had his backyard cleared of flammable debris after contacting Problem Solvers when PSO's tree trimming crew left a big mess near his home. After 2 News Oklahoma intervened, PSO sent a crew to finish the cleanup (resolving the issue promptly).  2 News
  • Justice for Greenwood launched its Legacy Protection Program to offer free legal help to survivors, verified participants, and members of one of 13 surviving churches in Tulsa today, with services including estate planning + asset protection, President Damario Solomon-Simmons said.  2 News
  • Tulsa Zoo announced the passing of its jaguar, lxchel (nearly 22 years old) after age-related health issues led to humane euthanasia. The zoo said lxchel brought joy with her bold personality and now focuses on caring for her companion Caipora.  FOX 23

  • She Brews Coffee now offers larger 20oz drink options for hot, iced, and frozen beverages at its Tulsa and Claremore locations starting today (a change driven by customer requests).  FOX 23

CULTURE NEWS

  • Salsa on the Green returned to Guthrie Green Sunday evening — drawing a lively crowd eager to learn salsa and bachata steps. The free event will run every other Sunday until Oct. 18.  FOX 23
  • Living Arts of Tulsa invites local artists to submit work for the summer exhibit “Indulgence.” Applications remain open until May 1 at 11:59 p.m. for all interested participants.  FOX 23

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Oklahoma voters will cast ballots on Tuesday, June 16 on a proposal to raise the minimum wage from $12 an hour in 2027 to $15 in 2029; the measure would also allow annual cost-of-living increases while removing several current exemptions from the wage act.  KTUL

HEALTH NEWS

  • Researchers from Compare the Market revealed that Oklahoma has high rates of heart and vascular diseases, with 1,218 deaths per 100,000 compared to 920 nationally. They advise healthy diets, regular exercise, and routine screenings to manage the risk.  KTUL
