- ➤ A woman in a wheelchair was struck by a truck and dragged when she crossed outside a crosswalk just after 10 p.m. on April 10 in north Tulsa — she died at a nearby hospital and the driver is cooperating with police as investigators examined the scene. News On 6

- ➤ Eleven storytellers will take the stage today at Cain's Ballroom for the 11th Annual Grand Slam—an event that crowns Tulsa's Best Storyteller—while local entertainer Singing Cowboy starts his performance at 6 p.m. News On 6
- ➤ Tulsa’s Canary Collective is an online art magazine that spotlights global artistic talent in visual art, photography and poetry (offering both free digital files and print copies) to a diverse audience. Issue 6 is set to launch at the end of June as submissions remain open for artists and advertising space becomes available. News On 6

- ➤ Gradient—one of the largest innovation hubs in the country—opened its new space in downtown Tulsa to offer workshops and shared work areas for startups, small shops and remote workers. The hub, renamed from 36 Degrees North, has added over $1.4 billion to local business since 2019 and earned praise from city leaders. FOX 23

- ➤ The Tulsa Housing Authority finished a $47 million, 19-month renovation of Pioneer Plaza on Thursday, April 10 — a historic 201-unit high-rise built in 1969 listed on the National Register — by replacing its mechanical and electrical systems while residents moved within the building. News On 6
- ➤ Today, one lane of westbound I-244 near Red Fork Split reopened so drivers can reach I-44 without detouring on U.S. Highway 75. The $52 million project started in February 2024 and will finish by the end of May with new pavement, lights and drainage systems. News On 6
- ➤ Twenty people from four countries became U.S. citizens yesterday at Tulsa City Hall during the city's 46th naturalization ceremony. Tulsa Fire Department and Police Department members presented colors and joined the celebration that brought the total to 1,497 citizens since 2019. FOX 23
- ➤ Tulsa was chosen as the host of the 2026 National Main Street Conference, a decision announced yesterday that ties into Route 66’s 100th anniversary.
