CRIME NEWS

  • Owasso police and the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics executed a search warrant at a residence near 78th Street N and 117th E Avenue and seized methamphetamine, fentanyl, and several stolen or modified firearms—61 year old Randall Wayne Reel was arrested on charges including drug trafficking and possession of firearms during a felony and will face both tribal and federal charges.  KTUL

  • Tulsa LitFest kicked off a weekend of art, performance and discussion on Friday—poet Reginald Dwayne Betts performed a solo theatrical adaptation of his award-winning collection Felon. The festival brought together diverse writers as Betts shared how his early challenges led him to a life of writing.  FOX 23

HEALTH NEWS

  • Today, community groups and healthcare providers in Tulsa are taking action to improve access for Hispanic and Latino residents, with Uma Tulsa hosting a free 918 Health Fair and local doctors offering low-cost primary care to address language and cost barriers. Reports show that nearly 70 percent of patients have not seen a doctor in over a year, highlighting the need for better healthcare access in our community.  2 News
