- ➤ Cassie Celestain runs the Period Pantry Foundation, which supplies period products to over 55,000 girls in Tulsa County—she says the nonprofit now needs more pads and tampons to help girls stay healthy and in school. - ➤ Mayfest 2025 begins this weekend in downtown Tulsa with over 100 artists, live music, food vendors and a new MayFit wellness program that offers a 5K run, fun run for kids and various fitness classes. Local artist Miles Rogoish debuts his 17-piece exhibit while organizers note family-friendly activities and shuttle service from OSU-Tulsa—ensuring convenient access despite street closures. - ➤ Zeeco is starting to build a new 200,000-square-foot space at its Global Technology Center in Broken Arrow that will add manufacturing and office jobs (the project uses new equipment to upgrade the facility). - ➤ Tulsa Police detained several individuals after a pursuit ended near 1200 S. 101st E. Ave on Thursday—officers responded to a gunfire report on North Garrison Ave, chased a suspect vehicle that lost a wheel and crashed, and recovered firearms while one suspect was bitten by a police K-9. - ➤ In 2023, Tulsa Regional Tourism reported that 10 million visitors + $1.4 billion in spending boosted local businesses and generated about $3.9 million a day for the city.
