CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Former Tulsa fireman and owner Courtney Robinson was sentenced to 23 years in prison after being convicted on 21 counts of child pornography and peeping tom offenses involving hidden cameras placed in his home during a family celebration in August 2023 — he must also register as a sex offender. ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Proposed changes to SNAP could force Oklahoma to pay between $75 million and $375 million a year starting in 2028 and may reduce family benefits while adding pressure to local budgets—measures that Hunger Free Oklahoma said could cut essential staffing and programs. - ➤ Tulsa City Councilors are calling for faster 911 response times after a February crash killed two Holland Hall students, with reports showing first responders took 7 minutes to arrive and extra delays occurred finding the car. Councilor Lori Decter Wright is resubmitting her request for improved staffing and technology as budget talks continue with public hearings set for May 21 and June 5 (steps aimed at enhancing public safety).
