  • Officials from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Oklahoma Highway Patrol urge boaters on Tulsa-area lakes to follow safety tips for Memorial Day weekend.   • Facing declining membership after the pandemic, the Owasso Gold Agers Foundation dissolved and donated over $476,000 to the city to support seniors’ community center programs (including bridge, cornhole, and line dancing).   • Forestry officials confirmed the emerald ash borer in Wagoner and Creek counties; a farmer near Bristow reported dying ash trees to experts, who warn the invasive beetle will soon reach areas like Tulsa (residents are urged to avoid moving firewood).  News On 6

  • On Thursday night, neighbors in Charles Page offered ideas on using $1.5 million from IOT funds to improve sidewalks, parks, and trails; suggestions included adding bike racks and enclosed walkways for safer passage.  2 News

  • The EPA announced today that Oklahoma will receive $27.4 million to help replace lead service lines in affected communities. Officials say funds from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund will support projects to locate and remove lead pipes (to protect children's health).  News On 6
