ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A vehicle drove past barricades on Sunday into floodwaters nearly 4 feet high and was swept away while Oak Grove Fire Department and Broken Arrow Fire Department crews rescued the occupants, who all declined medical attention. KTUL
- ➤ The Swift Water Rescue Team rescued a mother and toddler from a flooded car on the 500 block of E. 86th St. N. just before 4 p.m. on Sunday—deputies also freed an elderly woman and her two dogs trapped in her home. KTUL
- ➤ At 8:30 a.m. on Memorial Day, crews closed I-44 Westbound at Peoria—after a patch on the bridge fell off—and the road will remain closed until at least 4 p.m. with no injuries reported. 2 News
- ➤ A crash closed the eastbound I-44/Turner Turnpike near Stroud at mile marker 179 on May 26th, 8:19 a.m.—transportation officials said drivers experienced delays and urged caution. News On 6

- ➤ Nathaniel K. Nash, Jr. was certified as the first documented descendant of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre by the Greenwood Cultural Center — his certification was based on records like birth and census data — and he will attend a free family reunion on June 1 at 322 North Greenwood Avenue to honor his heritage. - ➤ The Lori Brand Patient Bill of Rights, inspired by Gerald Brand's struggles during the COVID-19 pandemic, passed both the House and Senate and will become state law in November.
