  • Family & Children's Services will host 'The Party: Just Wear White' on May 30 at OKPOP Museum in Tulsa to raise funds for mental health and family programs. The event begins with a sponsor dinner at 6 p.m. and continues with a dance party inspired by Studio 54 at 9 p.m.  News On 6
  • On May 27th, five Malayan tiger cubs pounced and cooled off in a shallow pool at Tulsa Zoo while their mother Ava watched over them—ensuring their safety during play.  News On 6
  • John 3:16 Mission in Tulsa will serve free breakfast and lunch to kids this summer as part of the Community Summer Food Service Program. Meals, offered on a first-come, first-serve basis at the Family and Youth Center on MLK Jr Blvd from June 2 to July 24 — breakfast from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. and lunch from 11:45 to 12:45 p.m. — will not be provided on Fridays.  News On 6

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Tulsa County deputies rescued a mother and toddler from a flooded vehicle near the 500 block of East 86th Street North on Sunday after 4 p.m.—they also saved an elderly woman and two dogs from a flooded mobile home with help from the Sperry Fire Department.  FOX 23

CRIME NEWS

  • On Monday just before 9 p.m., Tulsa police responded to a shooting at a downtown QuikTrip near 15th and Denver that left one person dead and two injured after an altercation between a man, a QuikTrip security officer and an off-duty officer — the incident is being treated as isolated.  FOX 23

CULTURE NEWS

  • WICKED returns to the Tulsa Performing Arts Center for a three week run starting today. The production features a set that weighs 1400 pounds and is outfitted with LED lights—an upgrade made by over 100 crew members including longtime head carpenter Matt Biltgen and Company Manager Steve Quinn to give Tulsa audiences a brighter, more exciting stage experience.  2 News
  • Greenwood Cultural Center certified Nathaniel K. Nash Jr. as the first descendant of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre (he is the son of survivor Ruth Dean Nash) and said the move will support future efforts to protect Greenwood history.  News On 6

  • Tulsa Public Schools has launched a student-teaching internship that gives high school juniors and seniors real classroom experience in local elementary schools—helping them explore careers in teaching.
