- ➤ Today, hundreds of cyclists gathered in Tulsa's historic Greenwood District to learn ways to fund Black entrepreneurs as part of a 1,600-mile, 35-day bike ride to New York City's Wall Street. - ➤ Tulsa International Airport held its first “Ready for Take Off” event on Friday so people could practice checking in and going through security in a calm and supportive setting—focusing on those with autism or who are neurodivergent. - ➤ Early Thursday morning, a fatal collision occurred on the Turner Turnpike near mile marker 196 one mile west of Bristow when a 2014 Dodge Ram 3500 driven by Sergio Escobar was hit from behind by a Volvo tractor-trailer that was stopped for traffic — passenger Richard Arciga was pronounced dead at the scene as investigators review the cause. - ➤ A former BOK Financial Corporation employee, William Shane Garrow, was sentenced to 71 months in prison and ordered to repay over $5.3 million—he defrauded at least 16 client accounts by directing fraudulent wire transfers and checks after being charged in December 2024. FOX 23
- ➤ Tulsa Police are searching for 49-year-old Stacie Beckert, reported missing nearly a week after she was last seen near 11th and Lewis — she is described as having brown dreadlocks, green/hazel eyes, and tattoos on her left bicep, temple, and belly while driving a white Fiat 500 — and advise not to approach her if she appears frightened, urging anyone who sees her to call at 918-596-9222 and mention case number 2025-026000.
