- ➤ All Souls Unitarian Church in Tulsa hosted a Justice Jam that focused on immigration and brought local experts to discuss challenges and share community resources. ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Zarmin Shinwari—who moved from Afghanistan to Tulsa in 2021 to build a safer life for his family—died at 2 a.m. on May 31 in a crash on I-44 near 165th East Ave while driving for Uber, leaving his wife and three children aged 11, 9 and 6 mourning as his body will be flown to Afghanistan for burial and his family will remain in the U.S. for safety. - ➤ On June 8th, 1974, 22 tornadoes tore through Oklahoma—killing 16 and injuring nearly 300—as they devastated Drumright by destroying a nursing home and about 100 homes—and hit Tulsa with flash flooding that caused millions in damage. News On 6
