  • A Tulsa man, Kywaun Washington, 26, is accused of shooting his father and two brothers and stealing a car during a Father’s Day gathering near North Denver Avenue on June 15 + a warrant for his arrest was issued on June 17.  News On 6
  • Tulsa police are searching for 26-year-old Kywaun Washington after a Father's Day shooting on June 15 at 5:15 p.m. near 4700 N. Denver—his two brothers and father were injured, he was charged on June 17, and he remains at large.  KTUL
  • Investigative reporter Janna Clark reported that illegal dumping is affecting Tulsa as residents like Madison call 311 to report trash dumped in hidden areas—city investigator Michael Haynes said crews collected 500 tons last year and are using hidden cameras to catch dumpers who could face fines and jail time.  FOX 23
  • Tulsa mother Kellye Johnson said she felt relief when police arrested Kristopher Thompson for her son Alfred 'Trey' Seymore III's 2018 murder—detectives are still looking for a second suspect.  KTUL

  • Tulsa-based gospel trio The Peacemakers released their album Almost Home after more than a decade away from recording—blending new songs with their classic sounds and planning a concert on July 19 at 5 West Outpost in Prattville.  News On 6
  • Cat Cox from Country Bird Bakery in Tulsa won the James Beard Award for Outstanding Pastry Chef or Baker as announced Monday at the Lyric Opera of Chicago — the win comes during the awards' 35th anniversary with several Tulsans named as semifinalists.  FOX 23

HEALTH NEWS

  • The Oklahoma Caring Foundation and GRAND Mental Health unveiled their new Mobile Mental Health Clinic today to bring free mental health screenings, consultations, Medicaid assistance, and support for housing and job searches to rural communities in 13 counties around Tulsa — serving both youth and adults. The van will run regularly as long as staff are available to operate it.  FOX 23
  • On June 17th a two-year-old girl contracted three strains of E. coli after swimming at Keystone Lake and her condition worsened rapidly—she was placed in a medically induced coma and remains in intensive care as doctors provide supportive care.  News On 6
  • The Oklahoma Caring Foundation and GRAND Mental Health launched a new mobile mental health van to provide support to rural areas around Tulsa. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at GRAND Mental Health on E. Skelly Dr.  KTUL
