- ➤ On Wednesday, Mayor Monroe Nichols and forensic experts announced that remains from Oaklawn Cemetery have been linked to the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre—marking another key step in uncovering local history. They identified the remains as belonging to George Gillespie—while crews will return to the site pending budget approval. News On 6

- ➤ On May 13th, a 15-year-old girl was kidnapped at gunpoint and assaulted in an SUV, and police arrested Ebher Ruiz on May 15th after hospital staff matched his stab wounds and bite marks to the case—he now faces charges of first-degree rape, kidnapping, forcible sodomy and lewd molestation. KTUL

- ➤ The Skiatook Police Department said Highway 20 is closed in both directions due to rising water levels. Flood warnings are in effect for moderate flooding along Bird Creek near Owasso-Mingo and Sperry until Friday morning and for minor to moderate flooding at the Caney River near Collinsville from this morning until late Friday evening (road conditions may be impacted). - ➤ Storms hit Green Country last night with wind gusts reaching up to 72 mph and causing uprooted trees, damage to fences, and power lines. Tulsa residents are cleaning up while some are calling fully insured professionals for help — experts say regular tree maintenance can reduce future hazards. KTUL

- ➤ Indian Health Care Resource Center of Tulsa will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony on July 2 at 10 a.m. for the expansion of its facility at 530 South Peoria Avenue. The expansion will add new therapy services and expand dental, optometry and pharmacy facilities — more than doubling the center’s space to serve the community. FOX 23
