CRIME NEWS

  • Tulsa Police are searching for a woman in her nineties last seen Thursday morning. Flood warnings remain in effect for Bird Creek near Owasso-Mingo until tomorrow evening, Bird Creek near Sperry until late tomorrow morning, and Caney River near Collinsville until late Saturday evening—roads may become impassable and rural areas could flood.  FOX 23
  • Tulsa police are looking for 90-year-old Arleatha Hampton who has dementia and was last seen near 800 E. 44th Pl N—she was wearing a camouflage jumpsuit and red shoes and reportedly thought she was in Arkansas.  KTUL

CULTURE NEWS

  • Tulsa native and American Idol finalist Kolbi Jordan will perform at the Tulsa Juneteenth Festival today at 8:30 p.m. in the Greenwood District—she returns home to add to the celebration of Black history and freedom.  News On 6
  • Tulsa's Juneteenth Festival began Thursday night and will run through Sunday in the Historic Greenwood District to mark the day African Americans in Texas learned they were free in 1865. The event features music, cultural events + local vendors and historical tours that help visitors learn its deep meaning.  News On 6
  • Broken Arrow’s Main Street Tavern, built in 1904 as an opera house, will have its historic red brick cupola reinstalled next month—steel supports were installed Thursday in preparation. The project, which paused during Covid, will use a cupola shipped from Kentucky and is set for installation on July 24 if the weather holds.  FOX 23

  • Tulsa Deputy Mayor Krystal Reyes and Tulsa County Sheriff Vic Regalado were inducted into the inaugural Hispanic Hall of Fame — a ceremony at the University of Tulsa by the Oklahoma Hispanic Institute honored their civic and professional contributions.
