  • Adult trike racers will compete in Boulder Dash today in downtown Tulsa as teams tackle an obstacle course on trikes built without brakes—this event organized by local promoter Jeremy Diamond begins at 11 a.m. and charges $5 for admission with free entry for children 12 and under.  News On 6

CRIME NEWS

  • Body cam video shows that on April 15 a Tulsa officer accidentally left a patrol vehicle in reverse during a foot chase for a jaywalking suspect at a QuikTrip parking lot near South Garnett Road and East 11th Street South—causing the car to run over the man who sustained minor injuries and was later booked.  FOX 23

CULTURE NEWS

  • Tulsa is holding free genealogy workshops today from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. that let residents explore possible family ties to the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre using records from Oaklawn Cemetery — the sessions also support Tulsa police training in genetic genealogy with help from the Emmett Till Cold Case Grant.  KTUL
  • Tulsa native Gailard Sartain, known for his roles on Hee Haw and in over 60 shows and films, died at 78 on June 20th at 7:18 a.m. He began his career on a local sketch show and joined Hee Haw in 1972—marking decades of influence in film, television, and art.  News On 6
  • A trailer for the new YouTube series 'Drummond Ranch' is out—featuring Ladd, Paige and the cowboys who run the ranch in Pawhuska— and Ree Drummond posted about it on Facebook, giving fans a closer look at the famous Drummond family and their work.  2 News
  • Eighteen cyclists completed the nearly 1,000-mile Remember the Removal Ride retracing the Trail of Tears, finishing Friday, June 20th. A homecoming celebration honored their efforts — highlighting the enduring Cherokee heritage.  News On 6

HEALTH NEWS

  • EMSA responded to seven suspected heat-related illness calls on Thursday after issuing its first Medical Heat Alert of 2025 for Tulsa last week—each patient was taken to local hospitals. EMSA warned residents to drink fluids before going outdoors and to avoid peak heat hours for safety.  FOX 23
