- ➤ Sean and Tricia Wilson recounted their experience chasing a deadly EF-5 tornado on May 22nd, where they rescued injured children and transported 35 people to a hospital — their ordeal now shared in NBC’s 'Survival Mode,' which aired July 7th. 2 News
- ➤ A service in honor of Isaiah Knight begins today at noon at Vernon AME Church (50 yards from where he died) as community members support the Knight family ahead of his funeral tomorrow. Local leaders, including Deep Greenwood Foundation spokesperson Heather Nash (urging event accountability) and Sweet Lisa’s owner Darrell Knox, are calling for new safety measures to protect future Greenwood events. - ➤ Phillip Brotherton, a Tulsa man who has been sober for ten years, opened a new sober living home called House 25:17 two months ago to help men coming out of addiction — the home serves up to six residents. - ➤ Tulsa Fire Department rescued a mountain biker who broke their leg on Sunday while riding the new expert-rated downhill trail “Where’s My Jet” at Turkey Mountain — TFD Bike Team and EMSA responded swiftly and thanked River Parks Authority for improving the trail. FOX 23

- ➤ Tulsa Police responded to a domestic disturbance near Admiral and S. 189th E. Ave Saturday night and later identified 49-year-old Danielle Lee Fisher as the suspect who charged officers with two knives before being shot and dying on the scene—an officer has been placed on administrative leave and evidence is with the District Attorney's Office. - ➤ Celebrity Attractions said Tulsa’s Broadway season will have seven shows—including the national tour debut of The Outsiders—and will begin this fall.
