His lawyer filed the petition on July 7 after the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals upheld the arrest and judgment in March, arguing that the state has undermined the Supreme Court’s 2020 McGirt ruling. - ➤ Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond asked a federal judge to fine poultry companies for polluting the Illinois River and to limit waste from spreading on lands that drain into the river.
