- ➤ Tulsa volunteers are preparing to depart for Texas soon to help clean up the Sandy Creek area after central Texas floods caused major damage. They plan to cover a 19-mile stretch using heavy equipment—starting with the repair of damaged bridges—as part of the disaster response effort. 2 News
- ➤ Affair of the Heart, Oklahoma's largest craft and shopping show, began July 11 and will run until July 13 at SageNet Center in Tulsa. The event features over 250 local vendors — including artists, boutique owners and crafters — selling handmade items at set hours while tickets cost $12 for all three days. News On 6
- ➤ Magic City Books in downtown Tulsa is donating 25% of its online and in-store sales this weekend to The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country to help with Texas flood relief. - ➤ Lee Calhoun Phillips pleaded guilty in federal court on July 7 for a 2023 hit-and-run that left Tulsa cyclist William Clark injured on Highway 16 near Haskell—his sentencing is expected in the next few months. 2 News
- ➤ A woman charged with murdering her roommate in 2020 was found guilty in Wisconsin for attempting to poison neighbors with ricin in 2014—Wagoner County investigators found castor beans, a ricin recipe, and a white substance later confirmed by the FBI. News On 6
