- ➤ Nelson Mazda Tulsa will host its annual Backpack Drive on Thursday at its Tulsa location, giving away free backpacks, school supplies and everyday essentials to local families. - ➤ The Humane Society of Tulsa said more than 400 Maltese dogs rescued from a Stroud business have received critical veterinary care — including dental check-ups and treatment for infections — and are now having their matted fur shaved for better health. - ➤ Tulsa police responded just before midnight to a call at a QuikTrip on 11th Street—Utica where officers found a woman with a gunshot wound to her hip after a shooting at the EZ Pawn, and suspect Joseph Ryan was arrested an hour later after reporting a carjack attempt near the pawn shop—he now faces two counts of shooting with intent to kill.
