  • Bit by Bit, a nonprofit offering therapeutic horse riding lessons and life skills training to children with disabilities ages four and up, is at risk of closing if it does not meet its $180,000 donation goal within 30 days. The organization will host an open house next Friday at 5:30 p.m. to provide facility tours and seek additional support.  FOX 23
  • Carl Hilliard was named the new Executive Director of Tulsa Boys' Home to provide better care for at-risk kids. He brings 31 years of experience from Job Corps programs—he aims to make sure every boy gets safe support and guidance.  FOX 23

CRIME NEWS

  • A mass for healing was held Tuesday night at St. Thomas More Catholic Church to honor 15-year-old Alexander Puentes, who was fatally shot after a church outreach event when a dispute with 15-year-old Luis Hinch escalated—Hinch turned himself in and faces a first-degree murder charge—and community leaders offered their support.  News On 6

  • Comedian and ventriloquist Jeff Dunham will perform at The Cove at River Spirit Casino on October 4 at 8 p.m.—tickets will go on sale starting August 1.  FOX 23
  • Jefferson Starship will celebrate 50 years of rock and roll at Hard Rock Live in Tulsa—performing live on Friday, December 5 at 8 p.m.—with tickets going on sale Friday, August 1 starting at $29.50.  FOX 23

  • Climb Tulsa has announced fall youth programs where kids will learn rock climbing and build life skills—such as discipline and teamwork—with enrollment open online. The youth sessions are expected to fill quickly as organizers prepare for classes this fall.  News On 6
