  • The Tulsa Zoo introduced its new elephants—Billy and Tina—today in a Facebook video that shows they completed quarantine, explored their exhibit, and met with other herd members.  KTUL

CRIME NEWS

  • On Tuesday, Tulsa police arrested Collin Henderson after he tried to sell a stolen construction trailer loaded with fabric and machinery on Facebook Marketplace by tracking his blue Ford F-150 near 51st and Lewis at 8:30 p.m. following a report near 2000 S. Canton, and he now faces charges of grand larceny and concealing stolen property—with some items still missing.  KTUL
  • In less than two weeks, two joggers were attacked in Tulsa parks, with a woman getting stabbed multiple times at Turkey Mountain by Jesse James Brown and a man assaulted near 16th and Riverside on the River Parks Trail when bystanders intervened to tackle suspect Lorenzo Williams—police say the incidents are rare but have raised urgent safety concerns.  2 News

  • Tulsa-based saxophonist Grady Nichols marks 30 years at Summer's Fifth Night with a free concert starting at 7 p.m. today — he will also host a December Christmas concert to benefit Lisa Bain Ministries.  News On 6

HEALTH NEWS

  • Breaking Barriers is a free communal walking program focused on mental health that will kick off on Tuesday, August 5 at the Crossover Community Center at 1010 East 36th Street North in the Phoenix District—organized by Active Oklahoma with free snow cones and body composition scans available. The program meets Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6 p.m. and Saturdays at 8 a.m. and offers coaching for those training for the Tulsa Run on October 25.  FOX 23
  • Saint Francis Hospital was named the number one hospital in Oklahoma by U.S. News and World Report and was recognized as a Best Regional Hospital for Community Access—earning high ratings in 19 procedures and conditions. The hospital has expanded its care for eastern Oklahoma residents.  FOX 23

  • At Oklahoma fall camp, head coach Ben Arbuckle stressed that players must grow and compete by building confidence in quarterbacks, strengthening the offensive line, and developing new talent.
