- ➤ Will Rogers' birthplace is under major renovation after termite damage and wood rot led to a full interior demolition, and the Cherokee Nation canceled the 2025 fly-in. - ➤ Union Public Schools has 118 openings in the full-day, free program at Rosa Parks Early Childhood Education Center for children turning three by September 1 — families from outside the district who meet income guidelines can apply online or at the Enrollment Center from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday. - ➤ Mayor Monroe Nichols sent a letter to the Tulsa County Board of Commissioners calling for the immediate termination of TAEMA Executive Director Joseph Kralicek after his arrest and asking for Deputy Director Tony Roda to be named Interim Director—while the board, having met on Aug. 11, will hold a special meeting today at 4:45 p.m. as Kralicek faces arraignment later today. 2 News
