- ➤ One person drowned at Zink Lake in Tulsa on Saturday, August 16th after emergency crews pulled the victim from the water following nearly an hour of searching—officials confirmed the death at the scene. News On 6
- ➤ A car and a MetroLink Tulsa bus crashed near 1st Street and Utica on Saturday morning with both drivers telling Tulsa Police they had green lights—no injuries were reported. FOX 23

- ➤ On August 16, Tulsa police responded to a shooting near 36th and Yale where two people were shot inside a vehicle—one woman later died and the other remains in critical condition as investigators search for a suspect in a red sports car. 2 News
- ➤ A Wagoner County man pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and was sentenced to 35 years in prison on August 16th for setting a mattress on fire that killed his grandfather in March 2023 — he later told investigators that voices in his head told him to do it. News On 6
