- ➤ Kids in Tulsa are running lemonade stands as part of The Lemon-Aid Project, a charity event happening over Labor Day weekend that gives them all the supplies to set up their stands. The money raised will go to Tulsa Changemakers and events include a satellite stand at TU Tailgate at Chapman Commons today + others at Expo Square and Philbrook Museum of Art later in the weekend. - ➤ A Tulsa couple, Maria Carmona and Kent Sands, swapped their pre-wedding party for volunteer service at Night Light Tulsa to help individuals experiencing homelessness, inviting their entire wedding party to join in the effort. They met while volunteering in 2021 and now use this act as a way to start their marriage — inspiring others to give back. KTUL
- ➤ Twenty years after fleeing New Orleans before Hurricane Katrina, the Joseph family recounted how they lost everything and found a new life in Tulsa. A local church and a car dealership helped them rebuild their lives—Tulsa became their new home. News On 6

- ➤ Circle Cinema is hosting its second annual 918 Film Festival in Tulsa—featuring local and student films with live readings of youth scripts—to celebrate the creative future of our community. - ➤ Miss Oklahoma 2025 Tessa Dorrell flew from Tulsa International Airport on August 29th to Orlando to compete in the Miss America 2026 competition. She will participate in a week of events leading up to the finals on September 7 and plans to visit Universal Studios during her stay. News On 6
