- ➤ Cherokee Nation Principal Chief Chuck Hoskin Jr. gave his seventh State of the Nation address on Aug 30 during the 73rd Annual Cherokee National Holiday in Tahlequah and called for increased investment in health and wellness programs to help struggling communities. He pledged to boost the Public Health and Wellness Fund with $30 million over the next three years and announced new projects including an $11 million upgrade to the Claremore Emergency and Outpatient Center—set to begin on Oct 1.
