COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Amanda Kerstetter has started a motherhood support group in Tulsa to help new mothers facing challenges. The group meets monthly at 7:30 p.m. at Breathe Birth and Wellness—starting this Tuesday.  News On 6
  • Seven baby Aldabra tortoises are now on display at Tulsa Zoo—marking the first hatching in seven years—while zookeepers monitor their growth and diet closely.  News On 6

CRIME NEWS

  • A 15-year-old riding a dirt bike without a tag was stopped on Wednesday night after taunting officers — he fled to his home and ran from the back door — and was taken to the Community Intervention Center when his parents were not home.  KTUL

CULTURE NEWS

  • Five Tulsa districts reached the public voting round for the national Levitt Music Series grant, which offers up to $120,000 over three years to host about seven to ten free outdoor concerts each year starting in 2026—voters will help decide if the Historic Greenwood District, Phoenix District, Kendall Whittier Main Street, Tulsa Global District and Tulsa Route 66 Main Street win the funds with winners announced on November 18.  FOX 23

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • A 22-year-old Tulsan who is unhoused said his dog was shot by OHP during Operation SAFE on Friday after it lunged at officers—he now awaits treatment while grappling with the loss of his only companion. Local organizations expressed concern that the abrupt government action may leave the homeless community without proper support.  FOX 23
  • Mayor Nichols expanded Tulsa's Alternative Response Team 2 to run seven days a week to support people experiencing homelessness following Governor Stitt's deployment of troopers to clear state property encampments — a move that lets first responders focus on public safety. The collaboration with the Tulsa Fire Department, mental health professionals and Family and Children's Services aims to reduce homelessness in the city.  KTUL

  • A Tulsa firm ABA Ethos will design, build, and manage a mountain bike course at Pacific Palms Resort east of Los Angeles for the 2028 Olympics—Shane Fernandez said the project will offer a state-of-the-art course for elite riders.  News On 6
  • Owasso grad Grady Mercer, 21, quit baseball to join Team USA bobsled and is now in his third season competing on the ice. He splits his training time in Owasso and Lake Placid — Mercer said he will know by December if his hard work earns him an Olympic spot while his coaches plan for his future in the sport.  2 News
  • ESPN's College GameDay is in Norman ahead of today's OU vs Michigan game—Desmond Howard praised Sooner pride and noted that Michigan will miss key linebacker Jaishawn Barham early in the match due to his ejection.  News On 6
