- ➤ At around 3:30 a.m. at a QuikTrip, Tulsa police arrested Brandon Martinez after he bit an officer during a struggle when he was ordered from his car with open alcohol containers, and he was later booked on charges including assault and battery on a police officer — he has since bonded out while the injured officer received treatment. - ➤ Tulsa Mayor Monroe Nichols announced that Alternative Response Team 2 will now have mental health clinicians available seven days a week to handle 911 calls and support those facing homelessness. The program, which began in April, shifts calls from fire and police to professionals—addressing gaps that Operation SAFE has not closed. KTUL
- ➤ Attorney Jim Roth on Hot Seat said that Oklahoma lawmakers must balance property rights with energy policy—renewable energy projects face stricter setback rules than oil and gas operations.
