- ➤ Route 66 Historical Village in Tulsa is hosting a photo contest to celebrate the centennial of historic Route 66. Photographers may submit creative images taken between January 1, 2024 and October 15, 2025 for a $25 fee per image — winning entries will be featured in the Oklahoma Route 66 Centennial Calendar and future promotions. - ➤ Attorney General Gentner Drummond said he is hiring outside counsel to investigate Temu for allegedly sharing user data with China after Apple and Google suspended the app. His office will review proposals due Oct. 3 and later contract with the most economical—qualified law firm to protect Oklahoma consumers. - ➤ The Cherokee Nation Council approved a $3.65 billion budget for fiscal year 2026 to increase funding for education, health, and public safety. Proposed last month by Principal Chief Chuck Hoskin Jr. + Deputy Principal Chief Bryan Warner, the plan also allocates funds for Tribal Courts and infrastructure improvements. FOX 23

- ➤ On Tuesday, September 16, pediatrician Dr. Scott Cyrus warned that infant deaths in Oklahoma rose in 2023 with over 340 babies dying and the rate going from 6.8 to 7.1 per 1,000.
