- ➤ Today, the Junior League of Tulsa is hosting an online drive to collect feminine hygiene products for its Find the Good Day initiative — the drive will accept donations for a few weeks before sending the items to local partners in October — to help women who cannot afford these essentials. - ➤ Paula George from Sapulpa won $1M in Lay’s Do Us a Flavor contest when her Bacon Grilled Cheese entry—an idea inspired by her late father's recipe—beat over 700,000 votes. - ➤ USA Today named Zeeco Oktoberfest Tulsa the best Oktoberfest in America plus festival organizers said the honor marks the first time a festival has earned recognition two years in a row, and the 46th event will be held October 16-19 at Tulsa’s River West Festival Park featuring over 40 live acts, German and European food, rides and over 100 beer varieties. - ➤ Owasso Public Schools said it did not ignore bullying and sexual harassment claims before Nex Benedict died in 2024 and asked a judge to dismiss parts of the lawsuit filed by his family—stating its actions were proper. News On 6
