- ➤ The Patch at Glenpool offers families a fall experience with 17 activities and special events like Flashlight Night on Oct. 17 and Ladies Bingo and Craft Night on Oct. 25—guests can pick pumpkins, snap seasonal photos, and enjoy a corn maze. - ➤ The Jewish Federation of Tulsa Council for Holocaust Education will host the annual Kristallnacht Commemoration titled Music Against All Odds on November 6 at 7 p.m. at All Souls Unitarian Church—2952 South Peoria Avenue in Tulsa, where award-winning flutist Christie Beard and accompanist Christi Zuniga will perform and reservations are required. - ➤ New OK State Superintendent Lindel Fields — who sent a letter to parents — outlined his plan to restore service, transparency, and excellence at the state Department of Education. His plan includes reviewing financials, updating state testing guidance, clarifying the social studies curriculum, streamlining records requests and boosting literacy, career pathways and teacher support, with a budget to be presented at the board meeting on Oct. 23. 2 News
- ➤ Union Public Schools students in Tulsa are refurbishing bikes for kids in need by working with AAON and the City of Tulsa maintenance garage this fall. Donations are accepted at Union Collegiate Academy on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. until November 14—repairs will finish on November 17-18 so bikes are ready for Christmas break. News On 6
- ➤ A north Tulsa library is hosting a comic book swap as part of Teens Read Month where young fans can exchange comics, join games, and take part in a cosplay contest. The Super SWAP! Superhero Comic Book Fans Meetup will be held at Rudisill Regional Library—1520 North Hartford Avenue on Saturday, October 18 from 2 to 4 p.m. for ages 12-18. FOX 23

- ➤ City of Tulsa began its largest digging at Oaklawn Cemetery to search for mass graves from the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre while experts plan to work for four weeks—using forensic analysis to help identify remains. FOX 23
- ➤ Lieutenant Craig Deerinwater, a 26-year Tulsa Fire Department veteran, designed a large commemorative badge to mark 125 years of service and pride — the badge features traditional firefighting symbols and a Tulsa skyline — while proceeds support an expansion at the Tulsa Fire Museum. 2 News
