- ➤ Viola 'Mother' Ford Fletcher (the oldest living survivor of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre) died at 111; she spent her life testifying before Congress and working to protect Greenwood history and seek reparations. KTUL
- ➤ Former Tulsa radio host Natalie Cash, who hosted a country music morning show for 14 years, launched Operation Toys yesterday to donate bikes and toys to kids in need. She is reviving a popular radio bit to help local children get quality gifts. FOX 23
- ➤ City Lights delivered 35 Thanksgiving baskets to neighbors rebuilding their lives this week through its Housing Stability program. Volunteers from T.D. Williamson donated and packed the baskets, which are filled with traditional holiday foods to help residents adjust after homelessness. KTUL

- ➤ Five of Tulsa’s destination districts received a $32,000 per-year matching grant from the Levitt Foundation to host the Levitt BLOC Tulsa Music Series through 2028. The grant will support free outdoor concerts — featuring local, regional and national artists — in Tulsa’s Greenwood, Phoenix, Route 66 Main Street, Global District and Kendall Whittier Main Street. - ➤ Argentine artist Gabriel Delponte will open his new downtown studio to display art from many countries and different times in his career—he will host a public viewing on Saturday, Nov 29 from 7 to 10 p.m. at 5 N. Cheyenne Ave. News On 6
- ➤ Today, Rhema Bible Church opens its annual Christmas lights display on its 110 acre campus with bright LED lights, a 50 figure nativity scene, a gingerbread family and a synchronized musical show with dancing snowflakes and trees. Visitors can ride the Rhema Express train starting at 6 p.m.—and enjoy walk-up concessions like hot chocolate and popcorn each night through Jan. 1. KTUL

- ➤ Tulsa fire officials warned that many cooking fires and burns occur on Thanksgiving when people leave the stove and distractions cause grease fires — they urged families to always stay at the stove and use a lid to smother flames — and stressed the need for working smoke alarms and fire extinguishers to cut risks. - ➤ The approval process for Project Spring data center in Sand Springs is delayed after White Rose Partners postponed the December 3 Planning Commission meeting to give residents more time to review the project—city leaders, including Mayor Jim Spoon and City Manager Mike Carter, say detailed information will be provided before any future decisions are made.
