  • A Tulsa church is working to bring comfort to patients in hospitals during the holidays—arranging visits and support to ease their stay.  FOX 23
  • The Milam family—spanning six generations—gathered in Claremore for their 140th annual Thanksgiving reunion with over 150 relatives from 14 states. The tradition, which began in 1886, honors their history and shared roots.  2 News
  • Iron Gate's culinary staff served a community Thanksgiving meal on Thursday morning where guests could take as many plates as they wished.  FOX 23
  • Utica Square hosted its 58th annual Lights On event on Thanksgiving night, marking a long tradition of starting the holiday season. The event featured live music+Santa Claus and over 700,000 lights+drawing visitors in a festive celebration.  FOX 23
  • On November 27, Meals on Wheels delivered 900 Thanksgiving meals across Tulsa County with help from 200 volunteers—bringing food and connection to homebound seniors and others in need. Volunteer Bob Soerries said the warm meals reminded him that those in need are not forgotten.  2 News
  • Victory Church in Tulsa hosted its annual Thanksgiving lunch on Thanksgiving Day, drawing about 500 community members and serving meals and turkeys to help ease holiday expenses—ensuring no one celebrated alone.  2 News

  • TulsaGo launched its third annual Shop Small Tulsa campaign today to encourage shoppers to keep their dollars in Green Country—supporting local businesses through the holiday season. The effort aims to boost Tulsa's retail economy by directing festive spending to neighborhood stores.  FOX 23
  • Two local Jenks boutiques, Bridges Mercantile & Able & Co, will invite residents to support local businesses on November 29th as part of Small Business Saturday. Their sales will help fund the Bridges Foundation job training and inclusive employment programs that support people facing work barriers and rising business costs.  KTUL
  • Owasso Christmas Tree and Berry Farm saw its busiest opening day ever on Nov. 22 as owner Bill Jacobs noted that families and new customers flocked to the farm, which has been growing trees for over four decades. The farm will remain open for a month and expects strong sales while advising customers to water their fresh cut trees for the season—ensuring they stay green through Christmas.  FOX 23

  • Residents in Mohawk Park are upset with poor road repairs on 36th Street North and New Haven that left a humpy crown and patchy asphalt—Linda DeJear said the city will document remaining issues in a final December walkthrough to ensure the contractor fixes them.  2 News

HEALTH NEWS

  • Families can honor loved ones lost to impaired driving by submitting photos for the annual Tree of Life at Woodland Hills Mall, organized by the Tulsa Health Department—MADD. The display will go up December 11 with a public ceremony set for December 15 and submissions can be made online or at local health department locations between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.  News On 6
