  • Little Light House, a Tulsa nonprofit serving children with special needs, received a $5,000 donation from T-Mobile today to boost its educational and therapeutic resources (toys, textiles, and learning tools). The donation is part of over 50 contributions nationwide designed to expand early intervention programs.  KTUL
  • City Lights Village, a housing project for Tulsa’s chronically homeless near 46th Street North + Peoria, needs $5 million to finish Stage One work that will add a community center and 30 housing units before new residents move in fall.  News On 6
  • Tulsa Dream Center is planning its annual Christmas Mall event by giving away over 20,000 toys to families across Tulsa this Christmas. Volunteers can help distribute the gifts (check local listings for details) to ensure every child enjoys the holiday season.  2 News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Tulsa County officials are asking more property owners to join the Transitional Living Center (TLC) program, which gives 50 residents a 90-day chance to build savings and secure jobs as they work toward permanent housing. The county hopes motivated tenants can break the cycle of homelessness.  FOX 23
  • Jenks City Council is set to decide tonight whether to transform 25 acres of a 415-acre ranch property into a public park after months of community input (which stressed preserving nature and enhancing trails), with Mayor Cory Box saying the park will officially open in the coming weeks.  KTUL
  • Tulsa County officials said yesterday that their lesser-known homelessness program is helping people get on their feet and now need more landlords to offer housing opportunities.  FOX 23
